These Shop Rules set out how Oxford Chairroom Barbers operates its services and what both client and barber may reasonably expect. By booking or receiving a service you accept these terms as lawfully binding under English law.
Appointments can be booked online, by phone, or in person. We ask clients to arrive on time so that each session receives its full attention. Late arrivals may result in a shorter cut if another booking follows. Cancellations should be made at least four hours in advance to avoid charge.
Payment is accepted by card or cash after the service. Prices are displayed clearly in shop and may change without prior notice when suppliers adjust costs. Receipts are available upon request. Tips are voluntary and handled in line with UK Employment (Allocation of Tips) Regulations.
Client details collected for booking purposes are processed according to our Privacy Brief. We record haircut preferences only to repeat requested styles and never share them with third parties for marketing.
Barbers follow standard hygiene procedures: clean tools, disposable blades, fresh towels, and sanitised surfaces. If you have skin sensitivities, please inform us before your appointment. We reserve the right to refuse service if a condition could pose risk to either party.
While we exercise care and skill in our services, Oxford Chairroom Barbers is not liable for minor variations in style interpretation once agreed in consultation. Nothing in these rules excludes liability for personal injury or fraud where prohibited by law.
Children’s cuts are welcome with a parent or guardian present. We aim for a calm environment and may pause the session if a child is distressed for safety reasons. No chemical services are performed on minors.
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase and non-refundable. They may be used for any haircut or beard service at face value. Expired vouchers cannot be reissued unless required by consumer law.
Our Oxford shop is on ground level with adjustable chairs and a wide entrance. Assistance animals are welcome. Clients needing additional support may request a companion seat without extra charge.
If you are dissatisfied, please speak directly with the barber before leaving so we can make adjustments. Written feedback can be sent to [email protected]. We respond within 10 working days. Disputes unresolved internally can be referred to UK Trading Standards.
These Shop Rules and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by and construed under the laws of England and Wales. Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of England.
